By the time Robert and Barbara moved to Chagford on the edge of Dartmoor, an Itek computerised typesetting machine had superseded the old Compugraphic which in turn had replaced the Varitypers the Islander was composed on in the early years. |
The days of laborious paste-up methods were numbered. |
